YouTube’s Most Popular Songs Of The Summer: Cardi B Tops 2 Different Lists

Summer 2018 is the season of Cardi B.

The “Bartier Cardi” rapper has taken the music industry by storm and YouTube’s official list of most popular summer songs backs up that claim.

The online video service broke down the most-played music videos of the summer and categorized them by popularity globally, in the U.S., and by each U.S. state.

Cardi’s blockbuster collaboration with Bad Bunny and J Balvin “I Like It” topped the U.S. list, performing particularly well in California, Florida, and New York.

“I Like It” also did strong numbers on the global stage, ranking No. 5. The No. 1 song globally, however, also featured Cardi B. It was her “Girls Like You” collaboration with Maroon 5 that reigned supreme on YouTube’s global summer chart.

Canada’s very own Drake made an appearance at No. 9 on the global list with “In My Feelings”. Beloved pop star Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” song also cracked the top 10.
